Summer Event

What do you all think so far?
For those who aren’t aware yet:
- Digital token event through the end of August
- S’mores tokens can be obtained through online-time, riding rides, the new summer quest with Russell at spawn, going to meet and greets, and the Alice in Wonderland hedgehog hunt
  - Every 5 minutes of ride time gives you 1 token
  - Opportunity to get between 1-3 tokens from every 5 minutes of ride time in the land of the day (/landoftheday)
- Event token shop at spawn and in /eventshop
  - Lots of new pets: adorable otter 🦦 and cats 🐱
  - Something new we added based on some feedback is the ability to “roll” for a reward from the event shop with fewer event tokens, rather than purchasing items for more tokens
    - People love risking their tokens for a chance at rarer items!

We have lots of upcoming summer events planned from mini games to campfire hangouts. Keep an eye on the #events channel throughout August for more information.

Ongoing Alice in Wonderland Hedgehog Hunt
- In celebration of the 75th anniversary collect all 20 hedgehogs in Fantasyland to earn summer tokens.
Upcoming Pop up Events:
- Pop-up events with fun mini games:
  - Camp Half-blood Games
  - IF Survivor Games
- Battle of the Jams — to celebrate the release of Camp Rock 3 (battle of the bands style)
- Nature Walk — relaxing group hike together, fun good way to unwind

Bedrock

Been hard at work behind the scenes on a big project… Bedrock Support!!!
Not anywhere near release day, but we’ve made some major breakthroughs on development for Bedrock compatibility and wanted to share this cool update
Bedrock players will be on the main server alongside Java/PC players
- You will be able to ride rides, see our whole custom resource pack, etc.
- All supported:
  - Custom blocks Pets Rides Item-frame models Custom-skulls Custom items
You’ll be able to sync your Java and Bedrock accounts so your progress saves across your accounts
- For example, if you want to ride rides on your phone (Bedrock), that’ll go towards the total count you have on your Java account
- You can either log into Bedrock or Java. No using both at the same time
Again, not near release day yet, but these breakthroughs make it a lot more realistically playable in the foreseeable future
- The next step is reformatting a lot of our UI/menus for Bedrock compatibility (these changes won’t affect Java)
Compatibility on current gen iPhone and consoles… no luck on Switch, sorry

Questions

When will we receive the rewards from Cannonball Duos, May 4th Event, etc.?

Sorry for the delay. We are working on it! Coming soon to a /redeem near you. Don’t worry, it is on the list.

Will an event like this year’s May 4th happen again?

We try not to repeat word-for-word past events, but this last May 4th was a fun new concept. We would be interested in doing similar events in the future, especially with May 4th / Star Wars!

with the black and blue ribbon bows, can we expect to get an orange one? can we also get cute themed bows for holidays like canada day, halloween, new years etc.

What if we told you they haven’t all been released yet… 👀 We do have a Canada Day one already, too!

will we be able to “place” or otherwise have our pets live in hotels? if so, will the number be capped?

To be determined. It’s a great idea!

what is the next planned event or any info on that or regarding stuff in September?

Not sure about September yet, we have plenty of pop-up events during our Summer Event this August! Next big event will probably be Halloween.

is there a reason for the seeming discontinuation of event tokens? I love collecting some as keepsakes for events I participated in, or trading with other players for them

Good question! Nothing is off the table forever, the digital event tokens is just something we’re testing on and off with our server events, namely to see how long it takes for players to get them and the effect of them in general on the server.

will we see a tangible smore item outside of the smores launcher?

No plans atm. People were asking for the display emoji, it would be cool to release in the future.

can we make the minigame achievements into secret achievements or at least switch it to that until minigames are fixed

Mini-games will be fixed very soon, apologies! We are hoping to have it fixed in a reasonable amount of time, rather than adjusting achievements.

I forgot to turn in one of my Easter eggs, is it possible to trade those to Trent?

Not currently possible… You can sell it to a player, hold onto it for next year, or keep it as a collectible!

Can you retire an old pin pack for the new one for mint magic?

We won’t retire any packs currently as there are players who have gotten 100% for the pin achievements. It’s only fair we keep this for the future. If you already have those achievements, you won’t lose them with the addition of a new pack; if you haven’t gotten the achievements yet, then you’ll have extra pins to collect to achieve them! This is what we’ve found fair for everyone collectively.

Could we get more collectible ride vehicles as items?

Heck yeah! Definitely.

will the pet noises be added to the friendly/enemy mob volume sliders at some point?

Not sure about the technical aspect of adding it to the volume slider settings, but we can add something to disable the sounds. Likely in /settings or something else.

any plans to do more specific themed mng areas like the elphaba and glinda one and moana with her boat? adds a cute personal touch to it!!

Yes! No leaks about that, but yes, definitely…
